Summer Cooking

At last we are seeing a little bit of sunshine here in the UK after endless weeks of rain. We are delighted to get into the swing of things with our summer cooking. If you are eager for family picnics, bbq’s and gatherings with alfresco dining you don’t want to miss including the following ingredients in your store cupboard. These are the products we use all Summer long on repeat.

Garlic Rapeseed Oil

Our garlic rapeseed oil is a summer essential. This oil will help to make the perfect marinade for BBQs. It is delicious drizzled over chicken and fish and used within a dressing for salads. Our garlic rapeseed oil can also be used as a dipping oil too alongside a warm loaf of bread.

Mustard Mayonnaise

Mustard mayonnaise is a summer go to. We spread on sandwiches for picnics as well as burger buns for the bbq. Our top tip is to use this one as a dip too, we highly recommend chips dipped in this mustard mayonnaise.

Raspberry Vinegar

We are often asked for recommendations on how to use our raspberry flavoured vinegar and once you know how, you will use this product again and again. Used in dressings and marinades this vinegar adds a wonderful kick of flavour. Not only that but it can be used as a drink too. Add a small amount to a glass and top with prosecco or sparkling water. With the growing popularity with vinegars and their benefits, this is a great one to keep in your cupboard.

Lemon Rapeseed Oil

Our Lemon rapeseed oil is such a versatile oil. We use this a lot over the Summer for roasting chicken, fish and vegetable. We also use this to make a delicious salad dressing. This lemon rapeseed oil becomes even more useful when we add it to our baking too. We love making a lemon cake for a refreshing and light summer pudding and our lemon rapeseed oil is the perfect ingredient to give your lemon cake an extra zesty flavour and a light, moist texture.
