Homemade Baked Beans

Ingredients

2tbsp Brock and Morten Natural Rapeseed Oil
3 shallots chopped finely.
1 clove of garlic finely sliced.
2 tablespoons of tomato puree.
1 tin butter beans.
1 tin chopped tomatoes.
2 tsp Brock and Morten Balsamic Vinegar
1 tsp male syrup
Pinch sea salt and pepper to taste.

Method

Add the Brock and Morten Natural Rapeseed Oil and the onions to a large pan cook on low for 15 minutes, until soft but not crispy.
Add in the tomato puree and garlic and heat this through for a minute.
Take the butter beans and chopped tomatoes and add to the pan along with 60ml water. Bring to the boil for a couple of minutes and then reduce the heat and allow to simmer until the mixture has reduced.
Finish with the Brock and Morten Balsamic Vinegar, maple syrup and salt and pepper.

This recipe has been adapted from a favourite of ours from Deliciously Ella. We enjoy these beans on a jacket potato, full English breakfast and simply on toast.
