French Onion Soup
Ingredients
2 tbsp Brock and Morten Natural Rapeseed Oil
5 white onions sliced thinly
5 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tbsp Marmite
1 tsp dried thyme
2 litres of vegetable stock
1 tbsp light brown sugar
1 tbsp Brock and Morten Balsamic Vinegar
Method
Heat the Brock and Morten Natural Rapeseed Oil in a pan. Add the sliced onions and cook on a very low heat until softened and sticky. This may take around 40 minutes. Make sure to stir frequently.
Add the garlic and cook for a further 5 minutes. Add in the Marmite, thyme and stock and simmer for 15 minutes. Add in the sugar and Brock and Morten Balsamic Vinegar and season to taste.
Serve with cheese on toast.
