Smoked Rapeseed Oil

Smoked rapeseed oil

Our smoked rapeseed oil is a much loved product. When this flavoured rapeseed oil joined our collection a few years ago we knew it would be well received and we were not wrong. It has so many great uses in cooking to add a great flavour and we have heard from several customers who aim for a low FODMAP diet that it bring life to their food again when they are avoiding onions and garlic.

We use this flavoured rapeseed oil a lot within our own cooking and below we have some ideas and inspiration for how you can use this oil too. You will also find a recipe for making your own bbq sauce, which will accompany our new homemade burger recipe this month too.

Lasagne

Cooking onions for a lasagne in a tablespoon of smoked rapeseed oil is a good way of adding a lovely smokey taste to the finished dish. Our customers tell us this works particularly well in vegetarian lasagne, bolognese and chilli too.

Marinades

Any bbq marinade would be enhanced by a splash of this oil. Garlic, ginger and chilli alongside our smoked rapeseed oil and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar make the perfect glaze or marinade for meat.

BBQ Sauce

A great way to make a rich, smokey bbq sauce is to add a splash of this smoked rapeseed oil. Here is the full recipe below:
