Pumpkin Picking
This time of year has turned into another big event for us to add to our calendar of family traditions. Choosing a pumpkin at our local pumpkin farm.
This is something that many people have started to do over the past couple of years and it is so much fun, especially if you have little people to take along too.
Our local pumpkin farm is Village Pumpkins, who always have the biggest field full of bright orange pumpkins. If you are lucky you may also find some of the much loved white pumpkins too, as well as a range of unusual gourds.
Whilst we love pumpkins to carve and display for halloween and autumn, we also adore them in cooking and baking too. If you would like to use the pumpkins you choose this year to create something tasty, you can use our pumpkin pie recipe. The pastry for this recipe is made using our delicious rapeseed oil. Give it a go, you wonβt be disappointed. This recipe goes down a storm in our house.
If you are heading out to choose a pumpkin this year, do give Village Pumpkins a go!
