In preparation for cooking on Christmas day itself, we have a few handy tips that we follow to ensure we are ready to go with no last-minute panics!

Step 1: Create a list of the cooking you need to do over the festive season. If you are cooking on more than just Christmas Day make a note of these too.

Step 2: Research your recipes. If they are well know family recipes, all the better, but often we want to try out a new show stopper at this time of year. Take a look into what is required and do a test run if time allows.

Step 3: Think about homemade edible gifts. We have some great recipe ideas including chocolate truffles which always go down a storm as Christmas gifts.

Step 4: Make a list of the ingredients you need for all your Christmas cooking and make sure you order well in advance. Often, ordering a turkey from a farm shop requires around 2/3 weeks notice. Our rapeseed oil, mayonnaise, and other products will have an online order cut off date of 18th December to ensure delivery in time for Christmas.

Step 5: Enjoy the day. Whether you forget something or not, the recipe works out or end up not as you intended, the day is all about spending time with friends and family. Make the most of your day and Happy Christmas!
