Baking with Rapeseed Oil
Rapeseed oil is an incredibly diverse product, used for cooking, marinating, adding to dressings and even using for dipping; but did you know that you can bake using rapeseed oil too? Even with the flavoured rapeseed oils!
Rapeseed oil can replace butter in many baking recipes, such as cakes, pie crusts and muffins. The oil helps to create a moister and softer bake as well as having less saturated fat. By replacing a solid fat such as butter or margarine with rapeseed oil, you can reduce total fat by up to 25 percent – allowing you to save on calories, but still enjoy your favourite baked treats!
Our Brock & Morten oil is also high in mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated fats omegas 3,6 and 9, meaning it can help you maintain healthy cholesterol levels as part of a healthy balanced diet – beneficial for heart health.
Baking with Natural Rapeseed Oil
Our natural rapeseed oil adds a great extra depth of flavour to your baking. Rapeseed oil has a natural nutty flavour to it, which works brilliantly for certain recipes. It complements both our biscotti recipe and our banana bread recipe. Give it a try!
Baking with Lemon Flavoured Rapeseed Oil
You can also use our flavoured oils within your baking too. We love a lemon cake with our lemon flavoured rapeseed oil as an ingredient. You can find a delicious lemon and almond cake recipe here.
Baking with Chilli Flavoured Rapeseed Oil
If you are a chilli fan our chilli and chocolate truffle recipe is the one for you. This recipe uses our chilli flavoured rapeseed oil, which is a popular option in our flavoured rapeseed oil range.
