Product of the Month - Honey

We are lucky enough to live on a farm that looks out over beautiful fields full of oil seed rape. Who wouldn't want to live here? So we were delighted when we could offer this same home to some honey bees.

In June 2015 we took on some hives of honey bees to enjoy our surroundings and provide and safe and happy home for them to live and create from. Oil seed rape crop produces a large amount of nectar and honey bees can produce a light coloured but peppery honey from it.

This honey is now available to buy alongside our rapeseed oils and mayonnaise range. Currently you can only buy our honey at the events we stand at. This honey is a small batch product and stock is extremely limited. If you see us with some on our stand, be sure to snap it up before it all goes.

We think honey is a great accompaniment to the other products we offer at Brock and Morten. As well as being delicious to eat on its own, it is also a great addition to many dishes and works perfectly as an ingredient alongside our rapeseed oils in baking and cooking. Imagine a delicious summer salad with a lemon rapeseed oil and honey dressing, or combining our smoked rapeseed oil with honey and mustard to make a sticky glaze for pork.
